2017 GMC Terrain is a square-jawed compact crossover SUV that can haul when equipped with the available V6. The GMC Terrain is half of Gm’ answer to booming sales of compact crossover SUVs such as the Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4. The other half? That’s the mechanically indistinguishable Chevy Equinox. The 2017 GMC Terrain is the boxy, bold, and brash part of the equation and one of just two front-drive-based models in GMC’s line.

Insides are essentially the same. Of course, substances depend on trim levels and you’ll get everything from fabric to perforated leather upholstery, and from jet-black to wood-trimmed cottage with chrome elements. Nonetheless, cabin layout is the same in both Sierra 2500 and 3500.
2017 GMC Terrain Engine
A fuel-efficient inline-4 and a throaty V 6 are obtainable in the Terrain, both with optional all-wheel-drive. Both engines are joined with a slick shifting 6-speed automated. The inline4 is a GM workhorse that’s learned a couple of new tricks. The 2.4-liter has direct injection and produces 180 hp, which is adequate to run the Terrain up to 60 mph in around nine seconds. That is not quick, and we do not recommend it for anyone searching for towing. The inline-4 is great for front-drive clients looking to use their Terrains as long-distance cruisers or city runabouts. There is a sports button, but it’s debatable outcomes. Similarly, do not engage “Eco” mode unless you are considering the torque converter to secure sooner and shifts to come later, which eases a mickey into the Terrain’s responses. Left to its own devices, the 6-velocity makes the best with what little accessible low-finish torque there is and performs ably enough.

Included in GM’s new strategy for all trucks, 20 17 GMC Sierra Diesel now offers regular 4G LTE connectivity in the get-go. There’s also a rear-seat DVD entertainment system to keep your travelers occupied, accessible with Denali Sierras. Safety features aren’t that advanced and only comprise a rearview camera, and front and rear parking sensors, besides compulsory systems, of course.
The 301-hp, 3.6-liter V6 arrived four years ago and it’s the same factory found in the considerably bigger Acadia. In the smaller, lighter Terrain, the V-6 lights into its tires with a muscle bubble and drop kicks the compact crossover to 60-mph in around six seconds. That type of operation is up there with the BMW X3, but it comes at a cost. Gas mileage in the V 6 isn’t great, and its change results aren’t all that slick. The transmission’s languid shifts could be a consequence of the early lockup converter, or a relatively straightforward all-wheel-generate program, we guess. The V-6 is rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds.
There are, however, routine, double and crew cabs available across the lineup. Of course, apart from Denali standards which are strictly reserved for the greatest crew cab and common carton. Rest of available technology comprise standard 4.2-inch sound display or optional 8-inch touchscreen device which comes with integrated navigation. Base models offer regular six speakers, while Denali ups the ante with Bose sound system.
2017 GMC Terrain Price
GMC handily manages to hide both regular and Denali 2500 and 3500 trucks fuel efficiency. They probably aren’t happy together, and no one really should be with large teens mpg united and available diesel engine. Still, Sierra HD trucks aren’t really meant to be efficient, anyway. Sierra 2500 prices between $36,000 and $56,000, while 3500 prices between $37,000 and $53,000.
