2017 F-150 – Truck enthusiasts and journalist alike have long swooned over the Ford F-150 Raptor. Introduced in 2010, the Raptor showed Ford could make a Baja decoration truck and sell it to the average Joe. 2017 F-150 Redesign
The 2017 F-150 Raptor pickups purpose-built fully boxed frame is said to be even more powerful than that in the standard 2015 and newer F150. In addition to its more powerful basis, the 2017 Raptor additionally features a 6-inch broader body for improved off-road stability. That wider body houses a set of 17-inch wheels wrapped in next-generation BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 off-road tires.
Much of the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptors off-road prowess is partly because of its all-new four-wheel drive system featuring a torque-on-demand transfer case. The new Raptors transfer case combines a clutch-driven, on demand all-wheel-drive system with a mechanical-locking four-wheel-drive system that routes power between the front and back axles.
The all-new Terrain Management System features six preset modes (Regular, Street, Weather, Mud and Sand, Baja, and Stone) for different terrain and is said to be an innovative, simple-to-use off-road mode driver-aid technology making it easy to drive off-road across varying terrain.
2017 F-150 Engine
Ford still hasn’t disclosed outcome figures for the Raptors engine, which is a variant of Fords prolific, 3.5-liter Ecoboost V-6. Earlier reports indicated the engine could create some 450 horsepower, but all Ford has said officially is that it’ll outmuscle the previous Raptors 6.2-liter V8, which churned out 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque.
